Oval Basket with Underfoot Base with guest instructor Jesica Clark (2-day class)

We are so pleased to welcome Jesica Clark (they/them) of Willow Vale Farm in Standfordville, NY, as a guest teacher for this intermediate- to advanced-level class.

In this class we will explore the sturdy and fun underfoot oval base, and then use it to create a lovely tall shopper as designed by Peter Dibble. After stakes are inserted, we will bring up the sides with waling and a choice of side weaves, but this is a good opportunity to learn English randing and/or slewing. There is a focus on shaping and perfecting oval borders for those with more experience. A wrapped handle is added to finish the basket.
