Join us to make a willow obelisk! All experience levels welcome.

Choose from several different styles – a single or double rope weave that coils its way up, a blocked wale weave using different colours of willow or a simple wale that winds its way from base to tip. The obelisk is the perfect support for flowering vines, climbing vegetables or a lovely string of fairy lights.

Made from locally grown willow, this beautiful swirling structure will make a lovely focal point in your garden or can be used as a standalone feature. The base diameter of the obelisk will be 12 to 15” and will reach a height of 4 to 6’ so please be sure you have space to fit it in your vehicle!

Some of the skills you will learn in this class include material handling, structural shaping, and rope and wale weaving – all practical basketmaking skills.

Course fee: $125.00 + HST includes all materials, tools, light refreshments (tea, coffee, snacks), fun and creativity. Payment for class is due at time of booking.
