Mel Bastier of Out To Learn Willow will lead this two-day backpack-making workshop. Mel, from Ogmore-By-Sea, South Wales, is an exceptional basketmaker and teacher, and it is our honour to host her. Added bonus in this class – Mel's daughter Ellie (a brilliant artist in her own right) will show us how to use willow to make drawing charcoal! Brown willow (willow with the bark on) will be used to weave the backpack and leather straps will be added. All tools and materials are included in the workshop price.
